Make me a Storm I talk to the mist the steady drip that touches the leaf I see it quiver be bigger louder harder and enough to make the smell of wet cement I talk to the clouds clutching at the light give in to the dark swirl with it in consort make me a storm The air is dense strike it with your hammer slap the sky into the trees dance with these tall stalks of sunflowers throw a torrent into the river I am a small slug just a trail across the dry leaves wet them until they tear and shred fall down on me until I am mulched make me a storm |

You tend to see the smallest things in oh so big a way...this is so well done, Martie...I know this feel, but I can never describe it as well as you do...thank you! |

Smile. You understand the principles of magick. Myself? I try to tread carefully here in Hurricane country. Your descriptions are fresh and full of child-like wonder. Happy Solstice witchy one. |

Oh be careful of that for which you wish! I once had to swear off lightning for five years to atone for the damages I did playing with it! Th e poetry is great. |

I have to agree with Karilea 1000 percent. You make the small seem so huge with your words that change the dictionary into an art form. |

We've had 40 days of rain out of the past 48. It's a wonder that this shack hasn't yet floated away. (methinks the witch (yes, that one)has prayed our drought away) |

Oh, this is fine! I want one too -- enough of mist and mistyness, let those clouds loose to do what they really want, and pour it onto us.... ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ [This message has been edited by Ratleader (06-22-2003 01:29 AM).] |

Spring forgot us this year... two months of zero precipitation... As much as I gripe about playing farm slave, I felt sorry for my Dad... so much work into a garden... and not enough moisture for a seed to sprout. The weather never seems to get it quite right... it could take a lesson from you... for your poems are always perfection. *S* |

Well, it is still just dripping here...can't even call it rain. Thanks for the replies...and Marge, yes, I remember, and as I recall, it worked! (but darn if I can remember it! ) |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Martie, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I could sure wish for a storm like this here, so I should summon the rain God and let fertility and harvest sprout all about! (kiss on cheek) Yay, this is beautifully vibrant, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |
