Magic minstrel sing for me,
tell me of realities
where unrequited love
finds happiness;

sing it soft
convincingly,
and shadows of tranquility
will hide my empty soul
from consciousness.

Minstrel thou art thief and king,
sing to me of everything
I have often dreamt
and never had;

sing it soft
caressingly,
until I sleep transparently
forgetting other dreams
that make me sad.

thank you Poet Sir..this is lovely..
My sweet Sen-girlie has had insomnia since I met her and I always tell her we are going to have to write her lullabies to give her sweet dreams.
She will love this...the kind intention most of all.
Thanks for sharing your verse

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Aenimal ~ Thank you, Sir.  I appreciate your opinion.

Janet Marie ~ I hope it helps!  Thank you for your comments.

1slick_lady ~ Well, you know...pleasant poems are REALLY hard for me to write!  Sometimes I feel like an emotional tea bag steeped in the waters of depression.  Thank you for telling me you were here.

ecrivan ~ I am glad you enjoyed it; thank you for telling me.

Martie ~ *smile* Yes, sometimes I lose myself in music.

serenity blaze ~ A man who has joyfully given away all he has to give, is as rich as a man can be.  I am glad you enjoyed this.

Oh...not to worry, I actually have worked as a roadie; I know how to handle groupies....*grinnnn*

serenity blaze ~ Well, there are only a few possibilities.  Good karma, bad karma...hard to figure.  You could just be a weirdo magnet.  Although, roadies can be very handy; they can fix almost anything with gaffer's tape and wire.  They are usually a good source for ...things.  And, of course, they usually still are conscious long after the "stars" have slipped into induced oblivion. So, tell me some tales!
*smile*

ThisDiamond ~ Thank you for reading my poem and for your comment; I am glad you liked it.

You are a master of poetic words my friend~

Your titles crack me up sometimes.     And then your poetry goes somewhere.......else.  Enjoyed, as always.
