string together life,
tighten up the patterns
the buttons and the seams of meaning;
hold together tids and bits,
the flotsam of reality,
bind love into the warp of time
weave touch with memory
tie shadows to eternity,
impress upon the fibers of a life
the marks of character,
provide a web of anchor
against the gale of raw emotion.

That was a really good poem not much from a 14 year old but i can understand it...it was really good i liked the words used in it...

Read alone, the poem is one I can nod all the way through, agreeing, enjoying and appreciating... considering the title, it takes on new poignancy... excellent write!

I too, was taken by this. The thought of "threads",(perhaps as in "hanging by?").
I also liked the brevity( distillation?)that you've affected here.
