Riding into the breeze,wind blows through my long hair and my horses mane. Many leagues i have traveled and to this verdant green land once more,i have come to, i can leave behind my pain. Across the grassy valleys, i see you stumbling and falling until you fall to the ground. Quickening my horse, i gallop to you, dismount. You are motionless and silent, you make not a sound. Turning you gently over, for the first time, i see your face. My eyes ache at the sight of your beauty, i touch your cheek, you are cold and weary. Wrapping my cloak about you, i pick you up and carry you to my castle,to my life solitary. Days pass by, my vigil does not cease. Then for the first time, i see you open your dark, deep devouring eyes,slowly. Touching your pale hand,you are warm at last. Stooping i kiss your lips as you lay in gold and silver silk sheets,smiling happily. Weeks go by and your strength returns once more. Strolling through my walled garden, we pluck sweet scented oranges,pears and quinces. Studying the aspect of your face,you are the rose of summer. Clad in white silk and serene blue headress, you are my princess. |
