Dancing in Your Sky Tethered to your hand feeling as delicate as a blue egg I wanted to call stop stop this movement forward and away stay this minute stay But the boat house sang behind us calling the rhythm of earth and gravity and already we were passing something that I couldn’t grasp with a word or make into anything but movement Though there was no wind I could feel the force of air opening a space that shook me with the need to express joy So I danced Though I had no wings you said I flew when I saw the sky in your eyes I said with you |
