Shells

I beg to thee
oh sing
to me
abandoned shells
upon the sand

those echoes
of bones
to ring
in my ears
that I touched
in my hands

held once
so close
to my heart
sweet waves
in breath

a yesterday
now, so far away
that died
in a
oceans death

Helen,
You do this well...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
