Keep in Touch (just a few thoughts scribbled in a moment) Scurry, hurry busy days every moment hasty haste, Hurry, scurry everyone, not a moment’s time to waste. With schedules to mind, can’t do tentative impromptu, A fat chance to pencil in a chance meeting with you. With long distance waves from just across the street, And momentary glances, lovers’ eyes that never meet. Forgotten calls, find no time for a quick how’d ya do. Papa time, where you hiding for I haven’t got a clue? Well meaning “keep in touch” means nothing anymore For when I wasn’t looking, you slipped out my back door. I’ll e-mail or leave a message, we’ll get together soon. I’ve too sung these lyrics and they’re always out of tune. Where’s my best friend, got lost in time along the way? How can we play catch up, when she can never stay? In spare moment, tell me when we lost our human touch? When did cluttered calendars get cluttered up too much? Can’t you please store away a few moments you to find? Because I guarantee our lives have no button of rewind. And will you forgive me if my rhyme ‘n meter are askew? For not one moment could I find for this verse to review. [This message has been edited by Patricia (06-16-2003 11:15 AM).] |

S'truth. Just this weekend, I turned OFF the computer, and wrote, by hand, two over-due letters. Felt GOOD! |

it is hard at times to stay in touch with those we knew before...for what ever reasons, we find so little time compared to what we once did for friends and sometimes family.... nicely done patricia... you say it well. |

This is such a perfect mirror of a very very diffused situation! Exactly my thoughts too! Once upon a time .... everybody had time! Keep in touch! Wew! Love, sorry I am in a hurry!! Margherita |

Hello Patricia I'm sure we can all relate to this, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day anymore. I guess we all get into such a routine and we don't keep enough time spare for ourselves. Take care......Sue I am in motion |

Patricia - for just scribbling in a moment this is one great poem. Now if I may ask, I wonder what the words would be if you weren't just scribbling. But then, I like the scribbling. See, now I'm just rambling... BC |
