Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-07-31 07:30 PM

They made me dizzy
In their sky high light, as I leaned back my head,
Looking straight up
Into fingertips scratching at
The bluest sky

I imagined then, of snow
Floating down, to be caught
In tenacious grasp,
To slowly melt by a southerly
Winter wind, to
Trickle down icy limbs
As more flakes would dress
Branches in white

For now, it is still summer
And green leaves dance among the branches,
Soon enough to be let loose
Falling to crunch
Beneath my footsteps
Come autumn

Days will beg tomorrows,
Spring will follow
Yet another winter,
When the arms of these trees
Will branch out a little more

Just like life
And love.

"Just like life
And love."

You said it sweet poetess Karilea!
This is SO very beautiful...
I know you don't mind if I keep it.
Another challenge met!

loved that imagery...if you get a chance read Heat and see if I succeeded in providing something vivid.
