To Sink or Swim

I am tired of struggling
my strokes never strong enough
to carry me over the waves.

The upsurge in motion
lifting me high
only to swell my courage
and flaunt its tendencies
then leave me to drown
submerged into dark
losing my way once again.

Even with lessons learned,
I never could swim very well.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

Very nice M.  I can swim well (thanks US Navy) however I freak out in deep water....wonder what that means?

I think too much...

me too...just well enough to get from one side to the other, never well enough to excel...*smile* course I was really good at holding my breath and swimming underwater...maybe that's the secret...will have to think that over....thank you for this, made me think and I really enjoyed the analogy.....

Susan, don't know..I  haven't gone for a good swim in years and probably wouldn't even be able to float.

thanks, I appreciate your visits

Dixie, some days those feelings just rise from almost nowhere.

Thank you Bernie, I don't usually  worry about sharks. In fact I have never ever seen one...yet

JamesM, well  I need to find  someone who can save me if need be.

jellybeans,  that's me also..I keep my head above water and swim breast strokes just enough to get to safety.

Not good underwater anymore like I was as a child.

Thank you
M
