A face, a picture, eyes, hair, Looking into your eyes, a souls stare, Paper, an image, a square, All I have to see you, image, a picture, No kiss, no touch, just paper, Ink, color, perfect structure, Holding you in my hands, no warmth, no tenderness, coldness, just a photograph, colorful boldness, A memory, a moment, captured, frozen in time, Seeing you, knowing you, wanting to feel, wishing your image to come off the paper, become real, I think about the motion of your eyes, The motion of your lips as you talk, The movement of your hands and legs as you walk, When I stare at your pictures, I can see and hear you laugh and smile, You become real, so real to me for awhile, Your poems I read, I see your face, Your hands with paper and pen, Going inside my mind, viewing the places you've been, One picture your sitting on a bench at the park, As I close my eyes, I see me there, watching you as you talk, wind blowing your hair, Another photo you and your faithful bike, Your gentle smile, I see you riding through town, Going to the library, shops, places you hang around, Every moment of your life captured within twenty-four photos, Twenty-four views I have of you, Twent-four ways to know you more, Each one, a treasure, a part of you, Printed on paper, shipped and sent for me, I have you, but only pieces of paper do you send, I want the whole you completely, but all I have is...twenty-four pieces of you inside my hands.
