The point straight to the south where the sun sets. Burnt grass, stained horizon. She watches a flower bloom, slowly open. Breathe it's first breath. Roots hold tightly in the ground. Soft, fit trench or small riverbed cat tails, swaying in motion with streaming sunlight. She watches a flower bloom. Humming bird, wings buzzing: Nectar, sweet sticking memory. |

Love this so much...I have to keep it! Let me share a brief story...when I met this somebody who is my life right now...I was a different woman. Very shy, introverted, timid of my own words. As time passed, I started becoming the woman who I should have been....He said he loved to see me bloom. (I am a really late bloomer too...I turned 41 on Friday.) LOL But that is OK...I will keep blooming...you do the same, OK! A wonderful write that goes into my library! Patricia |
