It was a day like no other-
I knew this was the day to live.
So,
  I grabbed my coat,
                        and my sketchbook,
and I ran to the park.
                              I sat amongst old men
with wise old faces- they fed seeds to the birds.

A millions stories upon their wrinkles.
And,
The kids sang out sweet rhymes

The monkey bars held a multitude of monkeys

and they laughed

        and they smiled

Some fell off and wept.
                              The birds flew

                  The clouds fluffed

                          and the red slide zipped.
The trees were tall

and I felt as short as one of your jokes.

Those Hellen Keller ones cracked me up
                  I giggled in the park.

The sky was tall and I grew tired

The monkeys were gone eating lunch,

The wise old men were taking medication,

The birds were done eating- they no longer flew.

                         the clouds had fluffed,

The red slided had already zipped.

                    and I walked home chilly.

Not only are you an artist, you are a poet!

Your keen sense of observation serves a creative soul such as yourself, very well!

Totally enjoyed your first post!

Warm welcoming hugs,
