I am the sum of all fears and afraid of none and wonder if the night will remain~ I hear rain dropping on the floorboards and see it writhing, undecided which course to spill I want it to flow my way~ I am the sum of all fears and afraid of none I pretend to gather the cloud to my breast and feel its mystery trickle down my spine I touch its whimsy and worry that it may turn to thunder I cry because its purpose escapes me I am the sum of all fears and afraid of none I understand the eyes, like clouds, shed subtlty and say what lips cannot~ I dream they speak softly I try to listen with an open mind and can only hope I am the sum of all fears and afraid of none I bought my share of mistakes so I might see some interest. |
