The Man In Her Dreams (Day of Reckoning) I tend to desire relationships where the other accepts me for who I am. Acceptance pleases me. I feel wanted, I feel needed, I feel like I can be me. Time passes and my heart opens to let them in. I enjoy this unfolding. I want to be their friend. Then one day, as always, a day of reckoning sets in. Eyes are open, thoughts are composed, harsh words are spoken, foolish demands are imposed. Gone forever, that woman who accepted me for who I am. She yearns to redesign me, mold me, see if she can fit me into her plan. I've lost my value in her eyes it seems. I could never measure up to the man in her dreams. I would say you have been unlucky, but perhaps impulsive...their are things to factor in...we do not know their agenda...I think it best to go slowly until that comes to the surface...but speaking for myself some are hard to resist...most of the women I date are like two different women...if they get their way they are like an angel...but if I want my way they are like the devil...remember that song. "Devil or angel, I can't make up my mine, which one you are, I'd like to wake up and find, devil or angel, girl which ever you are, I love you, I love you, I love you." I think that sums it up...watch out for those days of reckoning...James |

Perhaps it is more, as you mentioned, the "unfolding" in a relationship that reveals if two are compatible or not. Sheesh ... if a woman feels like she has to change her man rather than just enjoy him for who he is then she has problems. Dump her...fast! |

Regardless, if someone is trying to change you, then it is a personal flaw in themselves, and they will never be happy. Better off finding someone who appreciates you for the way you are.  Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end... |
