Leaving the cottage…made me late
Seeking promised kisses, searching for the epic verse
“What indeed has been offered me”
A kind smile exhales two together
Contrasting various elements closely in concert
Clear meaning of sweet voice
I need only thoughts from this life
That’s all…..
With one word of truth
And the beautiful day from beginning to end
Where long ships gather with no knowledge of death
Just the heat of Africa upon their lips
With their sails of wings and conscious translations
But soon the rains begin and
Anywhere is a memory of trees
Hope has a place where God blesses me
Are you the autumn of my life?
Where I have been an echo…for my children to follow
Living within a dreamers light and a forest of picnic tables
Of early evening….outside time
Where a will comes humanly close
There a power source sheds light like a skin
And for some reason a discussion begins
Brushing my fingers…I see the real me in tears
Running down an alley, falling to my knees
Grasping for breath…words…anything viable and real
Just because I can’t remember the alphabet

I’m pretty sure life flowed through my veins
Where Kodak features became a mouth of colors
All pastels, painting happy noise from a waterfront
And all the intimacy growing as if pregnant
Ice cream dripping from a rock of children’s thoughts
Anyone have a flashlight…cause all the stars and fire flies went home
As they remember being alive….something we forget

This is really pretty. I'm sending it
back for another round.

This is too good to let slip down the charts, so to speak!
