I am quick with humor and sharp of tongue
I wonder of songs I've left unsung
I hear my nightmares and live without dream
I see what should have been unseen
I want to unring the rung
I am quick with humor and sharp of tongue

I pretend ignorance and love
I feel judgemental hands from above
I touch the darkness of his sin
I worry of what is trapped within
I cry for broken strings that were strung
I am quick with humor and sharp of tongue

I understand my part was none
I say the past is long dead, done
I dream of freedom in mind
I try to let loose my hearts bind
I hope for clear inhale of lung
I am quick with humor and sharp of tongue

oh you...we are SO much alike.

Hard to say that I LOVED this, as I saw so much of me in it, I know the pain of writing it.

Susan? You did this beautifully.

I thank you.

(and I'll go cook now, but I'll write you soon.)

Well done...and it would be very interesting if you took some of these phrases and wrote about yourself again...I like them a lot.

Karen-Thank you so much.  I had no clue when I began that it would end up there.  I to feel a connection sometimes when I read what you write...

PDV-Thank you.  Not sure I could write more than what I have already said on this particular subject...specific's are taboo as some parties involved are still around and I have pledged to act a certain part...

I hope I didn't tarnish the fun of the challenge....

You are you, and that is special! It had the ring of authenticity and that this wasn't "just" poetry. I enjoyed getting to know you better!

I don't think this is such a bad thing.  I tolerate my nightmares and prefer sleep without dreams.

Thank you for sharing this.
