I am the music left unplayed; I wonder if the world's a sham; I hear the silence of the waiting lamb; I see the colors in the sounds of love; I want to bury secrets I'm weary of, I am the music left unplayed. I pretend not to know the truths I've learned; I feel the peace in others' blinding shroud; I touch the thoughts of others in a crowd; I worry for my children's sake; I cry the rage of knowing what to fake, I am the music left unplayed. I understand life's meaning at its base, I say there is no way to rush its taste; I dream a peace of knowing I am safe; I try to help the travelers reach the way; I hope to live unknown another day, I am the music left unplayed. ©2003 by icebox |
