Tell me those tales,
while I close my eyes
and lay my head on the softness
of your voice as it recounts
the days of wandering
as we were then
On sand that drew a dance
Of lines across rising dune
That in point of east
Told us even the lowly grain
Was drawn to divine.

If I open my eyes as you speak
It is to watch the rise and fall
Of your chest as you breathe
Knowing, that our air is mixed
And mingled as we have been
On robes or blankets
Under vast expanded sky
Lit only by the spark of star
And those of ours

I would pillow you
On the silk of my thoughts
As I sleep
And watch you awake
That the tender curves
And gentle traces would not
Be forgotten
As long as I have life
And there are
Desert rains

Please,
tell me again

This was so utterly beautiful, that any reply of mine would take away from the beauty of it!

Have mercy....
oh yeah...I need some of what your muse is having.

Im still imagining your voice ...
can see the sparkle in your eyes.
I cant explain your power over me
Its understated understood & beautiful.

OK, I have virtually melted in front of the computer.  I got this man in my life who needs to read your words...to see how it is done. He needs to learn by example...no better example than this beautiful verse.

STOP IT!
I really, really do have some WORK to do this afternoon!
But it can wait another day or three.
this is superbly written.
This whole series cries to be bound in gold,
or love dust...it doesn't matter how you wrap it or unwrap it.

I have willed myself this very thing, many times.  Though now, I truly remember very few.  But those few...
