you sneek up on me
between drops of rain,

your picture framed
by stars connected on a moving sky,

you are shrouded still in mystery
tho you graced me with your touch
and bled your life onto mine,

there are days
i wish i could accept this contract
signed by dinosaurs years ago,

and not wonder why in the world
you had to KISS me like that,

then sleep in a desert,

hours after i watched yet another sunset
unsynchronized with yours,
from this garden state,

didn't you know you'd leave me to wander
upon an eastcoast timezone,

seeking your aura
in a surrogate that has yet to come,

i can no sooner hold on to you,
than the trees to the breeze that exhilerates them
on a sleepy summer day,

and therein lies the key to your mystery,

that on a day when the circus has left the sky,
i can still, on any given moment,
conjure up your smiling eyes above me,

knowing that your gift is truly from the angels
and probably too beauitful to break thru earth's fascade,
as nothing real seems to sustain its first rush, anyhow,

as i am finally left in resolution
after years of frantically seeking your echo,

knowing until we meet again, flesh to flesh,
i can still find you between the raindrops,

and feel you, when not hindered
by the mundanity of weather predictions

"and therein lies the key to your mystery,

So many excellent lines here...
I would have to copy the entire poem
if asked to choose but one or two favourites.

Amazing write here lady!

I especially Loved this part:
you sneek up on me
between drops of rain,

your picture framed
by stars connected on a moving sky,
--------------------------------------------
Soooooooo much I could identify with... sadly

x......thanks and welcome to PIPS

lorigirl........glad to see u here, as always
i feel your heart too in your words here

thank you nancy, a pleasure to find you here too

lori again........glad those words can
find their way to you.......and it does seem
like anything real, just can't sustain for too long.

dreamboy......yes, glad you can relate, tho
it is from unfulfilled longing, and quite
a different side here than the raving lunatic in mature, eh? different men, different impact on the soul

Michelle - this has to be one of your best in my humble opinion. I love the words, as they are penned by a special person. Lovely, just lovely, and inspiring...

"please allow me to introduce myself"
I'm not "mellow yellow"
but instead crimson "Red"
as I've been "flash"ed
by some of the best poetry I've ever read
she whispers " pop the cork, blue eyes"
as I ease the afternoon away with a glass of wine
her soul "invades me"
as muses intertwine

Just being blessed as I spend a few hours with someones poetry
what a beautiful way to spend a day

Wow...this is terrific. Another hit on your hit parade. I guess in your long absence you had a lot of time to reflect and ponder. Your stuff gets better all the time!
