Tugging at my eyelids
Fleetingly close
I ponder a memory of
holding you.
Sweet escape.
Ah….

I forget to remember
the pain.

You are here again.
Wanting me.
Teasing me
but not needing me
Sometimes I pretend though

I want to feel you again.

I cannot go back.
I made a choice.
Yes it seems right.
But do I want.

No.

Sometimes..

Yes…

Anchoring me
Convoluting me
I struggle

With a

Torment of choices
But do not know how to take a step
or do not want to.
So,
I stay within the safety
of
Where I am.
Fragmenting into pieces of me.
