Dancing like Never Before Visions gaze endlessly, being true to themselves Daring to dream of my heart’s distant longings Giving shorter thoughts to heavy questions Freeing now, my heaviest burdens… Welcomed those stormy nights Knowing the essence of acquaintances A breeze in warm summer on my face Sharing happiness and tears of joy for their success Unsullied messengers of morning Giving a free and tireless noonday light My palms hold opened wide a candle From a night which covers my fright Beyond this place of tears Where menace stands in fear I clutch the bite of circumstance Nurturing chance in it’s place drawing near For not all who wander are lost I’m simply coming home To life and all beautiful and splendid things I’ll still choose to chance the rapids And dare to sail the tides Dancing like never before As if no one is watching Spreading my dreams across the seas Catching trade winds in my sails Falling off the edge and learning to fly Within great devotional skies with a smile on my face and a song in my heart What has been is gone... |
