Creosote bush, I rub my fingers upon your leaves that smell of rain. Petroglyphs, silent stories upon southwestern rock. Turqouise earring, my mother had left behind. Dehydrated sand cruise between my toes. Desert moonfall. Creosote bush, smell of rain. |
