where the wild flowers grow

What have I done
so wrong?
Cup my hands to hold
my head, dangling.
Shamefully,
I cry.
Finally, I
let it all out.

But I don't want to be a
waterfall of emotion
plundering down into
the abyss.
I don't care to be
a ball of frustration, like
fists colliding with metal.
What would it take?
What must I say?

It's just a confliction,
a friction between tears
and cheek.

Leaving my skin yearning
for
a dry heave,
blankly staring
guilt right in the face.
