My Final Plea
By Paul Wilson

Darkness covers the sky
as storm clouds bring the rain
Lightning lights up the night
thunder sounds like a train

Fear takes hold of my mind
my heart begins to race
While looking all around
I ask…where is this place?

All around lightning flashes
casting shadows on walls
I hear a voice calling
while from the sky fire falls

The voice now gets louder
echoing in my mind
I am here, I am here
this voice I try to find

With the room all ablaze
a demon does appear
I turn away from him
my mind is filled with fear

I try to run away
but can’t find the door
Thunder drowns out my plea
please help me I implore

The demon runs away
new vision comes in view
As it now moves forward
I ask him…who are you?

He spoke…I’m your angel
the voice you heard was me
You called on me for help
and I have heard your plea

You must go back for now
it’s not your time to go
Soon your name will be called
to receive your halo

Paul, this is a beautiful and very inspirational
poem. Sometimes, it seems like it would be easier just
to go on, but we won't until He's ready for us to.
