A Lover’s First Kiss

You have not met the person
that will envelop your life
your every breath.
The one that will be your ray
of
smiling sunshine
on a warm summer day
or the comforting warmth
on a chilly winter afternoon.
The one who at the sound
of
their voice turns your emotions
in an exciting motion filled
roller coaster ride.
When this person enters a room
you know because
static electricity begins to move
capturing all of your
attention and hidden desire.
That first look
of
uncertainty not knowing
what to do.
Leading you to
the heated touch of fingertips,
the shyness
of
looking into each others eyes,
the tenderness and excitement
of
a lover’s first kiss.
