~*~ I have survived yet another round in one of Life's countless battles. My strength may have been weakened, but my faith in a Higher Power has not. As I lie here, basking on sands heated by the hot July sun, I soak up the vitality of the wind, sea and shore. The cries of the gulls speak directly to my soul, reminding me of joyous, carefree times in my childhood spent by the water. The cyan-blue skies are clear and cloudless and provide an endless canvass on which to paint my thoughts upon the firmament. The rhythmic rolling of the waves soothes my embattled soul as I breathe in the spirit of the ocean. As I slip into a meditative reverie, my joy for living returns and I am at peace once more... ~*~ |

I really like it at night when everything is quiet except for the waves splashing against the shore and the beats of mine and my love's heart.
