Modern Twentieth Century He is in solitary confinement- One man on this lonely silent rock, no human companion, only the wild birds and the creatures that reside on this tiny island of doom. Snow-white sands encircle this beautiful, desolate island of loneliness. This little island is surrounded with beauty and filled with the deafening sound of silence. The only sound to be heard is the crashing waves of the ocean and the lonely cry of the wind. This is a twentieth century penitentiary. Seclusion is the answer they say. One horrifying moment, an error in judgement. Now he is banished to this lonely life. His mind and body, suffering shearing pain and agonizing regret. Wishing he could back in time- To the warmth of home and to his loving family. One moment, all lost in a blink of an eye. On bended knees his pain undeniable- Tears of scarlet stream down his saddened face and into his aching heart. His hands reaching in supplication to the heavens above, saying in humble misery, “Please! Forgive me. Please!” Bonnie J. aka Bon-Bon |
