Words cannot express
My feelings towards you
You were once in my past
And shall be in my future too

Even though we stopped talking
You never left my heart
My friends told me to forget it
But from you, I could not part

As I thought of our many memories
The way we laughed, the way I cried
I remembered how close we were
And how you were always on my side

There¡¯s something about your smile
That seems to touch my soul
There¡¯s something about the way you cared
That made you the other half to my whole

There¡¯s something about the way you listened
To every word I had to say
You always had the right advice
To brighten up my day

Even though you stopped caring
My heart would still believe
That one day in the future
Your love I would receive

The other guys I¡¯ve liked
Cannot compare to you
You seem to make me feel special
Not something every guy can do

That¡¯s why I haven¡¯t stopped trying
To reach my highest goal
To see you and me together
To make our halves one whole

I hope you haven¡¯t stopped wondering
If my love for you is real
Cause there¡¯s a pain deep inside me
That only your love can heal

I guarantee our relationship
Won¡¯t be like it was before
I¡¯ll make our communication stronger
If you promise to give me more

To give me more love
To have more compassion
To give me what I¡¯ve been missing
To help me cure my obsession

Now I hope you can see
That we have a connection
So what can I call you
But the object of my affection

WOW!  This is like...uh...a...ummm...POEM!  Yeah, that's it, a poem, with rhymes and meter and everything!

I loved it - - the looping through time of human connections; the emotions that need temporal space to grow.  Good stuff!
