I've made many friends in poetry
the past two years at Pips,
and I've had great wine and cheese moments,
toasted many ups and downs
and partaken of rich poetry
that doesn't go to my hips,
in spite of all the wonderful flavors
and the richness,
the delightful word toppings
that make my day and night so tasty.

Now and then, I've made acquaintances
whose poetry and prose has
grabbed my attention
and often my emotions,
but sometimes?
these have been rogue writers who
chose not to follow house rules
and found themselves
at the door of departure,
wrapped in anger and frustration,
and sometimes, exhibiting
rude behavior that embarasses
all of us.

I'll not say who this is for,
but he knows.
Not that he shall ever read here again,
if he does,
I wish him well,
and he knows this.
I've experienced
his writings for four years,
here and at another site.
He licks the envelope and then
tears it apart sometimes,
and in doing so,
re-seals his own fate.

But throughout it all,
I still wish him well,
and hope some day
that he will understand
why I am glad he has chosen
to leave this home.

And now, back to my glass
of whine.

Kacy,  nothing whining about this, a from the
heart and gut write of "this is how it is Kid!"  Right on target and I believe all of
what you have said.   Sad when the hand
writing on the wall is looked at as grafitti
instead of the gospel that it is...

I just wish he could get past certain 'stumbling' blocks. But of course, he does not see them as such. Peace and good will to him, anyway.
