Potato Chip Can One cold winter day my son and I went for a ride. As we drove and drove the heater on. A skunk odor, I did begin to smell. My son lets out a sigh and rolls his eyes, knowing full well of this smell, but he shall not tell. Trying to detect this horrible odor from which direction it has come. I spy Tennis Shoes near the heater that of which he has put his smelly feet upon. Could this possibly be the odor that is coming to me? Now be cautious for this may be gross to thee. “Oh my gosh my son.” “Please move thy stinky feet.” “Hang them out the window.” “Walk beside the car, do something. Please!” As my son paws around a potato chip can is to be found. Off comes the socks into the potato chip can they go. Under the seat they do hide- To be forgotten- “Until”- One fine summer day when we go for a ride. My son hungry, wanting something to munch. Looks around and finds the Potato Chip Can. Opening the lid, the skunk smell ripe with age. Tears streaming, coughing, he is unable to breathe- Hangs his head out the window for a little breeze He turns to me in his plight “ Why didn’t you tell me what was in the Potato Chip Can?” The moral of this story don’t let your kids in the car with dirty socks, clean under the seat in the spring and do not have a “Potato Chip Can” Enjoy Love Bonnie J aka Bon-Bon |
