Your heartbeat asphyxiates me. Suggesting, once again, that my end is nearing. It takes ages to reach you.. Flightless bird, am I? My aura sheds from me. traitor.. I am forbidden to look towards the surface, of where it began.. Your heartbeat transcends all time and expression.. All that I can comprehend. Growing ever merciless to your words.. slave.. I loathe the glass that pertrudes from you. My soul is weeping for encompassed by my new skin, is a word worth screaming.. freedom.. |

I've never seen anyone actually use the word "asphyxiates" in a poem before. I like your use of italics, it's a nice touch. |
