I was in the Teen Forums but I wasn`t getting much feedback. I had been in this forum a few times and it seemed very welcoming so I will try it out and most likely stay here. This poem was a favorite of a friend of mine....

I sit here in this attic
Boxes,letters,and photographs lying around me
Dust covered memories
Lifeless,still frames
Eyes closed tightly
Tears rushing down
This memory won`t come back
Lost forever in this forgotten moment
Please come back to me
Lost like the tide
Until you rise again
I will be waiting on the shore line
Memories

Very nicely written, Allison, and very sad too. Well done.

A while ago my grandpa passed away and my grandma moved out of their old house. My family and I went to go help her pack. I remember being in the living room with her and she had a huge box opened up with papers spilling out of them...I asked her what they were and she looked up at me teary-eyed and told me that they were love letters from my grandpa to her when he was in the service..She then went on to tell me some stories of the romantic things he had done for her. It was one of the moments in my life I will never forget...Even in old age.

Allison,  I too found those old pictures in
the attic,  some of which reminded me of
far ago times,  most very tender and a
treasure,  some not so dear to me,  but all
priceless....  as are your own..
