The years that past were those of joy And an innocence so pure We lived with youthful magnificence We cherished who we were An open mind and unbroken heart Naive to bitter emotions Living our life day to day Engulfed in dream like notions Barricaded by a wall of time The future not in mind Reach out to grasp reality Simple pleasures left behind Your heart begins to crumble True happiness whispers in the past Love blossoms in your mind Frailty hinders it to last The time of wisdom is upon you The one thing left is memories You drift once more to happiness Your realities slowly freeze **It's better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you are not** |
