Magical Understanding

In the age of one,
talking independently to another.
In the youth listening
to time’s teachers.
In parents willing to change
within the freedom of exchanged ideas.

Life is not about one truth,
sometimes it lies in many answers,
depending on the circumstances.
For reality is a time check,
of differing values.

If you must be molded by others
in their interpretations
of what is acceptable,
prejudging before listening,
then nothing is possible.

In an open sky
storming in possibilities,
the winds of change are
sometimes for the better
creating new criteria to ponder.

Innovations changing social values,
resistance to change by conformists
wanting time to go backwards.
Laws governing ever move,
imprisoned mind of conformity.

The need to go barefooted,
dancing in the grass of wild flowers,
free spirited fragrance of reasoning,
the morals of responsibility
knowing what should be acceptable.

The battle of two minds,
respecting each others opinions,
only changing their views
in the magic of understanding.
