I don't know for sure.. all war and fighting is sort of against morals. god doesn't like when we fight.. he wanted us to respect and love one another like he himself towards us. so i guess it is against morals.

Shouldn't your thread be titled "The Morality of Killing"?

That's probably because post-modern America has felt that Morality itself is out of fashion.  "It's not best for our interests" ... "It has wasted billions" ... statements like this are the more likely ones you'll hear.

I don't think the distinction you're speaking of is in the war itself so much.

All war is wrong.

In religion God and Christ did not want us to fight. It is against morals.

How many bodies lie in the ground because of war? How many families broken apart because of war?

Its not right, never was, never will be...

I don't like war at all. It causes harm. And no one should be hurt. And I was apart of one of those families broken because of war...

In the long run its all wrong. (its not like i didn't say that enough.)

Sorry if it sounded like I over re-acted... I'm just strongly against... thats why im a pacifist.. Okay enough of my life story... Hope you guys see the way i look at it...

I agree the war on Iraq is immoral and wrong. And yes morality itself is (in our collective conscience) completely out of fashion.

War in general? hmmm Zach tell me as the American and the pacifist that you are...
Was World War II immoral or wrong.

If yes...why not?

If no...where do we draw the line?

And no matter what...why can't we stop? why does our collective conscience not stand up for morals?

Hmmm World War was started from genocidal Hitlar, if im not correct.. and He was killing the Jews, gypsies, ext, ext... European's were weak at the momment due to to WWI battles.. So Americans came in to help..

And answer me this.. Is it wrong to help a friend?

The war was wrong because of the deaths.. But the fight for a greater good is not wrong...

Hmmm I guess your question made me over look of what i was saying. lol

"is it wrong to help a friend?"
No of course not. So the question then becomes, was it right to "help" in liberating the people in Iraq?
Is is right to continue fighting what enemys we find distabalizing the place?
War is wrong because of the killings. Of course it is. But war whenever it is waged is based on consepts of doing the right thing. Of serving the greater good. In this day and age that means all man kind in speaches and yourself in reality.
So was the war on Iraq justified?
Or was/is it immoral?

Sanity is NOT a matter of statistics.
The earth is round, germs cause desease, and God speaks.

I am insane of course BUT STILL!!
