What event taught you
that you are not God’s gift
to the world?

I never thought I was God's gift to begin with...

It might have had something to do with my mother's constant reminder that I was conceived six months before the birth control pill became available to the general public.

Just a hunch.

Sigh. That's not a lesson taught by events, but rather a lie told by people too blind to see their own worth or that of those around them. Only when you start believing you having nothing to offer the world do you, indeed, have nothing to offer the world.

I believe you are God's gift, unique and precious.

LOL. Possibly, John. But my dictionary doesn't have Huan Yi in it, not surprisingly, and gives a far different definition for noun. Since those are the only two references in your last post, I'm not quite sure what you think you are defining?

The definition is of "ego".

Ah, but that's not "the" definition, is it, John? That's just the part you presumably liked.

Besides, ego has nothing to do with your question, or rather, the only way to tie them together is to first accept your assumptions. Your creation, either divinely or earthly, predates your "sense of self" by some small months or years.
