THOUGHTS

I don't know that I want to be needed,
But I do know that I need to be wanted.

Loneliness isn't in being alone,
Loneliness is alone in being.

I don't very often write about love,
But then, I don't very often write about-
Things I've never experienced.

Pretend for a day that I am deaf and blind.
Now, how will you tell me you love me?

I don't want someone who'll just be with me,
But someone who'll want to just be with me.

You can tell me you love me a thousand times,
But I'd hear it better with just one touch.

The most precious gift you could ever give me-
Is a moment of your time.
But then, how could you ever afford it?

Understanding comes with effort,
And effort comes with caring;
Something most will never understand.

Love is more than just a word used too often,
But, too often, love is just a used word.

Michael

Michael, I share your philosophy a hundred percent. Love is an idea that most people long for, without realizing it is not something you can achieve by trying, but rather something that "is."
And beautifuly worded I might add!

Couldn't resist butting in...

Love is a feeling yes but it is the result
of actions. Love described as a feeling
is the physical sensations we experience.
