It may be cold and fluently abundant. But it’s not just a beverage that hydrates the muscles for further physical activity. I think it “hydrates” the mind into recognizing that pain needs to be deceased in order to move on. The only way to accomplish this by the use of an extraordinary substance that calms the mind and opens the heart. It’s just like a common cold medicine. A person gets a cold and treats it with a cold medicine. That person will get a cold again and treat it with the same medicine. My case is that I have a “cold” of exhaustion and extreme exile. A treatment might be to love or to pray, but I say a cold beverage of choice eases the pain. And when I need my medication I will willingly take it! How can it be looked down upon when it makes life so much easier to live? People may claim “You are on the verge of alcoholism,” but I agree to differ. I say I’m on the verge of creating a mental stage that is of complete happiness. In this state there are no troubles. There is no poverty, there is no depression, and no crime, it’s all a utopian attitude that agrees to agree. And with this I beg to differ but only fundamentalists believe that a concoction of emotion transcends into meaningless nothing. I believe that people live their lives off of drunken politics and disorderly concepts of origins as they once existed. What love caused such pain? Was it the fact that depression can cause a catastrophic existence? Maybe it is the fact that when you really understand nothing, nothing matters except for yourself! Let’s seize the times and recognize that blasphemy occurs on an everyday basis. If you deny the fact that someday you will die and be lonely you are confusing truth with fantasy! Remember, the time is here to realize that pain lies so much deeper than the average meaning of truth. Andrew A. |

quote: 1. Might be because it makes life so much harder for everyone around the alcoholic? 2. It doesn't make life any easier for the alcoholic either. It just makes it easier to forget the hard parts for a little while. 3. Why would anyone want an easy life anyway? Satisfaction isn't very satisfying when it comes too easily, and fulfillment is rarely fulfilling when it requires no effort. If one's greatest goal is "easy," then one doesn't really have any goals. And maybe, in the end, that's the real problem? |

quote: Denial is bad. Despair is worse. And if pain lies so much deeper, as you say, it lies deeper than any drink can reach... and perhaps deeper than death itself can remedy. So to tell someone to embrace depression, death, and drink is no solution. If God is real, could he deliver from death? Might death herself be just a haggard handmaiden in the universe, whose days of service are numbered? Might there be the death of death? It's much more exciting to think there is, than to try to drown sorrows that can never be drowned. Stephen |

"In this state there are no troubles." Really? "There is no poverty," You're right... people never lose their jobs because they're alcoholics, and they never spend all the money they do have on booze! "there is no depression," Because it's not like alcohol is a depressant or anything. "and no crime," And most of all, drunk poeple never drive. I've never seen it happen, not even once. Nuh-uh. "it’s all a utopian attitude that agrees to agree." Yeah, come to think of it, aren't barfights all caused by poeple who just needed a few more drinks? As pissed as it makes me, I sincerely hope this is some stupid joke. If not, you seriously need to reasses your life and drinking habits. I know from personal experience that convoluted excuses ("It's better this way! Really!") just mean your problems are really serious. |
