In Philosophy we learn to think what life means. I to have found a need to understand life. I hope this poem will be good food for thought... Life By Theresa Rose Life it is full But, It is empty. For us life is found by looking out And yet, It looks in. It is a sphere, A ball of crackly, spinning, tainted glass. And from within Something shimmers. It's an hourglass, And it is perpetual within its orb. It is linear. It is like the grains of sand. Each single grain must fall. For, after being spent It must fall Down Down into the anticipative depths below. It is timeless, Like the darkness of space It embraces the innumerous stars. And we like a single star, set in the middle a full, shimmering, sky It embraces the glimmer. It spends us. It is spinning us And yet, It holds us still Motionless. < !signature--> [This message has been edited by T.Rose (edited 09-05-2000).] |
