Hi everybody....

I always tend to be poetical, but for once I'm faced with a thought(feeling) I can't claim. Please give me your opinions.

I have fallen inlove with one of my best friends, she knows me well and spotted the change in my behaviour towards her....I was completely honest and told her how I felt(being very poetical). Her reply was as sweet as juice, as she claimed feeling the same for quite a while......
However I'm scared that I'm risking a great friendship, for being inlove....what if our romance should wether and we should lose our friendship......I'm a strong believer in risking everything for love, but we've loved each other forever.....just not so passionately. In many ways I'm probably just scared of getting hurt.

To seek love, is to risk getting hurt.....but for any love to be strong, it must indure great pains.

Hmmmmm

Don't be scared. If both parties have any sense of maturity, then this will be for the best. I dated a friend for 9 months...didn't work out well, so we split as friends, which (once we ironed out the difficulties) only made our friendship stonger. She knows me inside and out and I think I can safely say that I know part of her (despite what the pundits say, you will NEVER fully understand women).

So go for it. Fear will only hamper and constrict something that will only blossom. If you have trusted her with some, trust with all, and see what growth will be the outflowing of such committment.

The very best romantic relationships are between two close friends. We should all be so lucky. Some go with passion, leaving friendship for later, then find out they have nothing in common and really don't even like each other. To start with liking each other so deeply and being such close friends is a great advamtage. It's what we all are looking for.

Don't be afraid this will ruin your friendship. It shouldn't. Not if your friendship is strong. Maybe start out with talking about that possibility before the romance gets too involved.

To repeat myself, you are very lucky people to care deeply as friends before venturing into the romantic realm.

Of course, no one person can fill every need of the other, so don't expect that will happen.

Be joyous in your adventure.
Respect each other, above all else.
Be honest with yourself and with your friend/lover.

And to use my new favorite expression, "Life is short. Why not?"

Best friends can be the best lovers...someone you've laughed with, cried with, been silly with ....

As Doreen said, life is too short!!!! Take love where ever you find it!

Wherein lies the dilemma? It seems to me, that you may have just what everyone is always "searching" for. If you're truly best friends, that will endure.
If your best friend can also be your lover, haven't you really got it all?

You're all right in saying it sounds perfect, I can't think of it being any different myself......however I'm a born dis-believer in perfection. As friends we've grown tremendiously.....as lovers we should too.....
I geuss I'm just not ready for perfection....but I'll just have to close my eyes and jump.

She to me is a storm....

Thanx Everybody
