 Photo From Webshots ~~~~~~ Yes, we are all different but still so much the same There is so much more to God and Love than taught in religions name There are many denominations the doctrines at times confuse Most of us are taught in youth that we definitely have to choose This I know for certain with no doubt in my mind There is a divine being who wants us to each be kind The person whom I refer to not only lives in skies above He also lives in hearts of mankind to teach us of His great Love His Love is most important of all else I have learned in life Religion is not what He wants of us But Love, Hope, Peace, Unity without strife God sees into our hearts He knows what dwells within Regardless of what I have been taught anything can be made sin I finally have realized after all these many years I don't have to wear a religious uniform or have so many fears Fears that I won't look just so by cutting my long hair Or that I won't be living right if a pair of jeans I wear For you see, these man-made laws for many years I was told If I did not abide by them I would be thrown out in the cold So many in our world today claim their religion is the one that's true If someone listened to each of them they would never quite know what to do We were each given a conscience when into this world we came Sometimes it speaks in a soft, quiet voice but always there just the same This is Gods Spirit speaking to us teaching how we need to live To always be kind, loving, gentle and respect to all others give I thank Him for the Love He has put into my heart Giving to me compassion and caring from my heart I hope never to part ~~~~~ Thank you Kacy/Midnitesun......."I Am Not A Christian...." /pip/Forum79/HTML/000636.html [This message has been edited by garysgirl (04-29-2003 09:13 PM).] |
