Spring With the days longer and darkness being shorter it's a sure sign that spring is here The cows were in the pasture grazing the grass of spring, A mare was in the stable having her foal, dandelions were scattered across the pasture, with there yellow blending in the new green grass of spring, the red robins were busy building there nest, clumps of daffodils were in bud, tulips were blooming, and a crocus was struggling for it's last sight till next spring, across the fields, near the wood line was a pussy willow, showing it's blooms of small cotton like balls, mixed with them were white blooms of the laurel trees, other trees were showing new buds of leaves soon to open, and the frogs were croaking in the pond, that the migrating ducks and geese had rested the night before, on there way back north, from the southern warmth, they had spent the long winter months. For spring is here and summer is near. "It matters not how you answer, It matters only if i hear you" |
