a wiser design; bleach all the crimson declarations cast from my love seat towards that woman who soaks her toes in april’s snowy drifts and arranges her tresses with articles of faith, so well concealed that shadows reciprocate with carnage and connoisseurs I hang heavy in the corridor waiting for a breath of light to expand in her archway the darkness keep me rigid and in a state of emotional abandonment a rapid decline in the reciprocated declarations of love that lie unfurled and bleeding pouring from a wound in my breast the scar tissue reading like hieroglyphics to the acres of silent reprises my love a man can only empty the contents of his soul into so many short glasses at your table before he himself needs to lend his thirst to a challis of your own device when he brings it to his lips please allow him to nurture his hunger on the lavish banquets of your love on the sweet sentiments heralded by the poems of your heart [This message has been edited by Drexler_McStyles (04-26-2003 01:33 PM).] |

I could not let this poem slip without tell you that the metaphors you used in this piece of work were outstanding. I really enjoyed this poem.

I declare Steven, you just unravel them better and better with each new write. (putting this in the library) |
