"Oh, I am so poor," you say "I have no clothes to wear" Yet hanging in your closets Are fashions new and rare. "I have nothing to eat," you say "There's nothing ready made" Yet your fridge and cupboards Have food for which you've paid. "Our home just isn't big enough I can't find any room" Yet you're in out of the cold Protected from the gloom. "I don't have any money now" I've often heard you say Yet your bills are paid in full Each and every day. We want this and we want that But what we really need Is to have a heart of thanks Instead of constant greed. Jesus lives in my heart! |
