Back To The Stars Jaime Fradera First, there was the Universe. And from the Universe there came the stars. And from the stars arose our Sun. And from our Sun there came Our planetary system. And from the planetary system rose the Earth. And from the Earth there came the oceans. And from the oceans rose dry land. And from the seas there came the biosphere, The interconnected web of life. And from dry land arose the mountains. And from the web of life There came the human race. And then the human race Gave rise to you and me. Nothing that we have is ours to keep. All that we are given is on loan. We are stewards, And we can only borrow for a while. Like the stars we both are made of, Like the sea of life we share, All things are made of star dust, And everything is sacred. And when we are no more, It will be time To give the things we borrowed back … Back to the human race, Back to our wondrous web of life, Back to the mountains, Back to the seas that gave us birth, Back to the Earth, Back to the planetary system, Back to our Sun, Back, To the stars. |

This is beautiful. I love the universal references, so softly but profoundly pointed out. Thanks... |
