A war is raging at this hour The casualties are high Men and women risk their lives And willingly will die. They fight for people's freedom They obey at every cost Families' homes are barren Of the soldiers we have lost. They fight with pride and honour They follow each command One day Iraqi people Will live free on their land. Their names will be remembered As heroes of our land Alive or not we won't forget Their sacrificial stand. dedicated to the men and eomen fighting for Iraq's freedom Jesus lives in my heart! |

A terrific poem and one the soldiers deserve for risking their lives. But I wish someone would write a tribute to all the thousands upon thousands of Iraqi children who will die of starvation and disease as a result of the war that led to Iraqi liberation. |

Good tribute, musicmaker. Mike, I doubt those figures will reach 400,000, which is the number of children under 4 years old who died of starvation under Hussein's command last year alone.. It's always a good idea to know one's facts first. |

Yes, and lets hope that the freedom stays free and the new leaders are honorable men that respect the different religions and cultures of Iraq and of the world...James |
