Dreary morning,
long day looming,
fraught with desire'
for the potential of change.

Cold wet, (spring?) morning,
dripping incessantly,
its liquid depression,
and cloudy compulsion.

Wordsmith stuggling,
with inadequate tools,
to paint the life,
wished for desperately.

scribbling scribe,
wrestling with muse,
extracting trembling thought,
insufficient to hearten.

Dreary damn rainy day,
cursing joy and its ilk,
chasing love from life,
and soaking sullied soul.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

What a wrestling job...

This, I enjoyed, JP.  We've had such a long drought in our area, that I for one am glad to see the "dreary" of your write - we need to have our ponds fill up and allow the grasses to come knee high again [can you tell I'm in an agricultural part of the country?]...

the only thing I wrestled with this morning was my brain arguing with my body about the getting out of bed part of my day...my muse, on the otherhand, was no where to be seen.  At LEAST you are talking to yours!

Methinks your words you stated here
Sound like a bit of Oregon cheer
The leaden skies and moisture drear
give me an urge; kick weatherman's rear.

Nice write!  PS Greatly enjoyed your acrostics.  KJ

JP - like your writing style. And the way you see the rain in a different perspective...

(big hugggsssssss) There will be days like this, but the rain brings much beauty too and when you're singing in the rain, seems nothing can penetrate the moment! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet JP, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.
