Mix It Up

I knew it would be
just a matter of time
until I would be Laura's
and Laura would be mine.

But alas this was
not a beautiful
love story that
was meant to be.

We became good buddies
and good buddies
don't mix it up
romantically.

Great write James, I think we all have been in that situation before, wanting to mix it up with someone but not wanting to lose the friendship in the process.
