Oh, how I am in moan
for I just read of
the passing
of Nina Simone,
one of the great voices
of our time.
RIP
dear Nina.
I remember your voice
at the Hollywood Bowl,
how it echoed throughout,
proudly proclaiming your rights
to BE whomever
you wanted to be.
Oh, and now,
how Porgy cries!

Can you imagine the concerts up there

She is going to be missed that is for sure, but I know her voice will be heard for many more years yet to come.
