It's been bad before... Like a long lost friend the pain has returned; the loneliness that encloaks me, and draws me to it's bosom, caressing my soul, making my heart rend; pounding with the rhythm of my sadness. Its been bad before... I sit here in sorrow, wishing that my tears would fall, and wash away the despair that has encrusted my sanity; stripping away my defenses, baring the last remnants of my battered pride; Years of bitterness seeping through the cracks of my consciousness; drowning me in silent agony; Drawing away my happiness, leaving nought but an empty space where once my heart was. It's been bad before... and before... and before... There was laughter and then tears that soaked my sleepless nights, and dampened even the brightest days, eclipsing the joy in my heart with the blackness of my pain. A pain that is so familiar; that I no longer fear. And why should I? Hasn't it been bad before? [This message has been edited by morefiah (06-10-2003 08:13 PM).] |

This was very heart wrenching. So many times I have been there and you captured it passionately. Thankyou for a superb read. Cherie |
